What is Yachtinvest?
Yachtinvest is for sailors who want to buy their own yacht but won’t use it all year round. The idea is simple: you invest in your yacht and sail it during your personal weeks. The rest of the time, it’s professionally maintained and chartered by IN2THEBLUE. Charter income covers part of the running costs and investment, while our on-site team takes care of the boat.
Berth, maintenance, insurance, and service are as much a part of yacht ownership as the weeks on board. That’s why we support you well before the boat arrives at the marina: together, we determine which vessel suits your usage, budget, and sailing ambitions. Not an anonymous charter fleet
IN2THEBLUE operates two charter bases and a sailing school in Croatia. This means we know both sides: we know what makes a yacht reliable and economical in charter operation—and we know from training and regattas what sailors expect from a really good boat.
These are exactly the worlds we want to connect. A Yachtinvest yacht doesn’t have to be purchased as cheaply as possible and booked to the maximum. It has to function reliably, be sensibly equipped, and give its owners pleasure even after many years.
2027: The Center of Excellence
From 2027, we’re developing Yachtinvest further and creating a Center of Excellence for exceptional sailing yachts. The focus is on performance, quality, and sailing enjoyment—deliberately not the most cheaply configured charter boats, but high-quality performance cruisers and fast cruising yachts.
Cruising and racing don’t have to be contradictory. We’re looking for boats you can comfortably spend several weeks’ holiday on and still feel like sailing a regatta at the weekend. One example is our Solaris 44.1 TRINITY+; the next major project is six new Bénéteau FIRST 44s.
Performance meets comfort
We’re expressly not looking for uncompromising race boats. The yachts should offer enough space for family, friends, and charter crews—depending on the model, generous 4- or 5-cabin yachts that offer significantly more sailing performance than the classic charter boat.
Easy to handle, high-quality construction, and with that certain something as soon as the sails are up: a boat for two weeks’ summer holiday with the family, for an ambitious trip—and for the next regatta where you don’t just want to take part, but achieve something.
Your yacht doesn’t have to be off the shelf
Another focus for 2027 is individual outfitting. Just because a model is ideal for Yachtinvest doesn’t mean every owner has the same ideas. Possible upgrades include, for example:
- better sail wardrobe, gennaker, or code zero
- high-quality navigation electronics and additional instruments
- special deck equipment
- more comfort below deck, such as a washing machine
- technology such as solar panels or more battery capacity
Together, we first configure the boat to suit the Yachtinvest concept and then upgrade it further. The result is not “a yacht from our charter fleet”—it’s your yacht, equipped to your specifications and still professionally integrated into charter and management.
From yacht purchase to finished boat
This also expands our role: Yachtinvest supports the entire journey—from selecting the right model through purchase and configuration to additional equipment, handover, maintenance, and charter marketing. As an official dealer for Dehler, Hanse, X-Yachts, and Fountaine Pajot, we advise on new yachts as well as used yachts.
On top of that comes experience from the sailing school and regatta sector: we sail these boats ourselves, we train on them, and we know which equipment proves itself in practice. This knowledge flows directly into the selection and outfitting of Yachtinvest boats.

The Center of Excellence is set to become a fleet for people who consciously take their own boat a step further—still with the option of having the yacht professionally maintained and chartered. Yachtinvest remains what it started as: a concept that makes the dream of owning your own yacht work even when you’re not on board. Only the yachts are becoming a little more special.
