You already have your licence, or you simply want to improve your skills as a crew member on a yacht? Then come to us for skipper training and harbour manoeuvres, on monohulls or catamarans. In crews of four in personal training, or a maximum of six in the regular course – on monohulls or catamarans – we show you everything you need for a relaxed sailing holiday on your yacht. Different ways of coming alongside in different wind conditions. Entering a box and the marina, through to sail handling, picking up a mooring buoy, anchoring, or a man overboard manoeuvre. CONTENT
The in2theblue sailing school teaches according to the Blue-2 method. We have developed our own didactic training and education concepts for all important aspects of helming a sailing yacht in order to impart knowledge & skills at a very high level. You will train in helming techniques, boat handling, line handling as well as mooring and harbour manoeuvres under all conditions. Your instructors all have many years of experience as skippers and take the time to provide you with valuable insights and ‘aha’ moments that will sustainably improve your skills.
Optimal Preparation
In small crews of maximum 6 people, there is enough time for everyone to practice. This ensures that the training is an intensive and educational experience. The goal is for you to master mooring and unmooring safely. Your instructors are either professional skippers or competitive athletes with many years of experience in sailing. They have completed at least two training sessions at our train-the-trainer seminar.

Our skipper training sessions take place in Marina Punat on Krk, which offers ideal conditions for realistic training. We practice intensively to master the challenges of mooring and unmooring manoeuvres in various situations – additionally, your knowledge of sail trim and boat handling will be deepened.

Frequently asked questions about skipper training harbour manoeuvres
In this training, you will learn safe mooring and unmooring as well as harbour manoeuvres under all conditions. We work on your helming technique, boat handling, and line handling so that you can move your ship confidently even in tight harbours.
The training is aimed at beginners to advanced sailors. No previous knowledge is required, as we pick you up exactly where you are.
The training lasts 3 days. During this time, you have plenty of opportunity to practice and consolidate manoeuvres practically over and over again.
The programme includes sail trim and boat handling, mooring and unmooring manoeuvres, sailing manoeuvres, and safety on board. A central part is mooring and harbour manoeuvres under a wide variety of conditions.
We deliberately sail in small crews: in personal training there are a maximum of 4 people, in skipper training a maximum of 6 people. This leaves enough time for individual support and plenty of time at the helm.
Included are access to the Skipper360.at learning platform, a digital Ocean7 edition, overnight stay on the boat, and discounts for yacht charter. The experienced, liability-insured instructors accompany you throughout the entire training.
The base is Marina Punat on the island of Krk in Croatia. From here, we start into an ideal sailing area to practice harbour manoeuvres under real conditions.
In addition to the course price, there is a base fee that covers tourist tax, diesel, and cleaning. You can find the current prices on the respective course page. For bookings, dates, and all questions, we prefer to be there for you personally – just get in touch with us.
No, you don’t need a license to participate in the training. We pick you up exactly at your level.
Yes, our instructors are German-speaking and accompany you throughout the entire training.
Training times depend on your start day. For a Saturday start: Sat 2 PM – 5 PM, Sun 9 AM – 5 PM, Mon 9 AM – 5 PM, Tue 9 AM – 12 PM. For a Tuesday start: Tue 5 PM – 6:30 PM, Wed 9 AM – 5 PM, Thu 9 AM – 5 PM, Fri 9 AM – 5 PM.
You stay overnight on board the boat – the overnight stay is included in the training.
You can park directly in Marina Punat or at the marina’s gravel car park. Parking with a motorhome is allowed in the marina, but staying overnight in the motorhome is not. You can find out the current parking fees directly at the marina.
