You want to feel more confident sailing along the coast at night? You still need two night landfalls and a night passage for your licence. Then come to the night passage and skipper training at IN2THEBLUE. We will certify two night passages with two night landfalls for your FB2 licence or your RYA training. On top of that you learn to carry out harbour manoeuvres properly: coming alongside, anchoring correctly, or picking up a mooring buoy. And of course we show you how to plan a night passage properly. Where are the lights? What options do I have for taking bearings, and what do I need to watch when entering a bay, a marina or a harbour? All of that is part of the night passage and skipper training at IN2THEBLUE. More information on exactly how your night passages and landfalls are certified. Sailing at night is more than just a challenge – it’s a unique experience. We prepare you practically to navigate confidently, safely and calmly through the darkness.
In this training you’ll learn to correctly interpret lights from buoys and lighthouses, apply chart work safely and use modern navigation electronics effectively. We practise watch systems, crew communication and handling unexpected situations, so you stay in control in any situation.
You’ll experience two intensive night sails, practical training in navigation in darkness, approaches and light signals, watch systems & compact harbour manoeuvre training during the day.
The ideal preparation for exams or demanding trips. The training is suitable for ambitious sailors who want to increase their safety during night sailing, as well as for skippers preparing for exams or planning longer trips.

In this training you’ll learn to confidently handle your boat after sunset. The focus is on safe navigation at night, so you feel secure and relaxed in the dark.
It’s aimed at ambitious sailors who want to increase their safety during night sailing. It’s also ideal for skippers preparing for exams or planning longer trips.
No, prior experience is not required. Our experienced trainers will meet you where you are and guide you step by step into night sailing.
The training covers 3 days and includes two intensive night sails. This way you gain real practical experience under actual conditions.
You’ll learn orientation and navigation at night, light signals and reading lights, chart work, watch systems, crew communication and using modern navigation electronics. Harbour manoeuvres are practised during the day.
You’ll sail in a small crew of maximum 6 people with German-speaking, liability-insured trainers. Also included are access to the learning platform Skipper360.at, accommodation on board and discounts for yacht charter.
The base is Marina Punat on the island of Krk in Croatia. The sailing area offers ideal conditions to practise night navigation calmly.
In addition to the course price, there’s a base fee for tourist tax, diesel and cleaning. You’ll find current prices on the course page. For booking, dates and any questions, we prefer to be there for you personally – just get in touch with us.
No, you don’t need a license to participate in the training. We pick you up exactly at your level.
Yes, our instructors are German-speaking and accompany you throughout the entire training.
Training times depend on your start day. For a Saturday start: Sat 2 PM – 5 PM, Sun 9 AM – 5 PM, Mon 9 AM – 5 PM, Tue 9 AM – 12 PM. For a Tuesday start: Tue 5 PM – 6:30 PM, Wed 9 AM – 5 PM, Thu 9 AM – 5 PM, Fri 9 AM – 5 PM.
You stay overnight on board the boat – the overnight stay is included in the training.
You can park directly in Marina Punat or at the marina’s gravel car park. Parking with a motorhome is allowed in the marina, but staying overnight in the motorhome is not. You can find out the current parking fees directly at the marina.
