CONTENT
The Sportküstenschifferschein (SKS) builds on the topics of the Sportbootführerschein See. You will deepen your knowledge of maritime law, seamanship, and meteorology. Navigation is expanded to include wind and current allowances. The topics of tidal knowledge and the basics of sailing are newly added.
SKS is a recommended official but voluntary certificate that applies to the private and commercial operation of pleasure craft in coastal waters up to 12 NM seaward from the baseline.
Study time outside the course approx. 50–100 hours.
Requirement:
• 16 years old & min. 300 NM after obtaining the SBF See
