In 2027, six brand-new Bénéteau FIRST 44s will arrive at Marina Punat. The yachts (model year 2027) are being developed together with Bénéteau for a concept that combines cruising comfort with regatta performance—and are one of the first major projects of our Center of Excellence as part of IN2THEBLUE Yachtinvest.

Performance or comfort? Both.
Many sailors want a yacht that’s comfortable on holiday, has enough space for family and friends, and is easy to handle—but also sails really well. That’s exactly the question we’ve been working on at IN2THEBLUE for some time. Our answer for 2027: six Bénéteau FIRST 44s.
Why the FIRST 44?
The FIRST 44 is a great match for what we want to achieve with the Center of Excellence. We don’t want a pure charter yacht, nor a no-compromise race boat where you miss comfort and privacy after a long day on the water.
At 14.15 m in length and with a performance-oriented hull, the FIRST 44 has everything you need for ambitious sailing and regattas. At the same time, our yachts will be configured as comfortable cruising yachts: four cabins, nine berths and two toilets. Add to that a spacious interior, a full galley, heating, fridge, oven and a bathing platform.

Not a typical charter FIRST
The six yachts are being built as a joint project with Bénéteau and set up for our concept of cruising comfort and regatta performance. Cast off from Punat in the morning, sail through Croatia’s islands with friends, and spend the evening in a bay—and when it’s time to get serious, the same yacht is on the start line.
That’s why the fully-battened mainsail is just as much part of the concept as extensive navigation gear with wind instruments, autopilot and a chartplotter in the cockpit. Two steering wheels and twin rudders provide great control under sail, while the bimini, sprayhood and large bathing platform show the cruising side.
A new chapter for Yachtinvest
With the Center of Excellence, we’re taking Yachtinvest to the next level from 2027. It’s no longer just about buying a yacht and having it professionally chartered when the owner isn’t using it. We’re bringing special boats into the fleet: more performance, premium equipment, exciting sailing concepts—boats you’ll be excited to sail every time as an owner.
Six yachts. One base. Endless possibilities.
All six FIRST 44s will be based at Marina Punat on Krk. Six identical performance yachts open up completely new possibilities: for training, ambitious sailing, regattas and crews who want to compete against each other. A First 44 one-design class is already planned for the 20th Alpe Adria Sailing Week in 2027.
We’ll be sharing the detailed spec and the options available through IN2THEBLUE Yachtinvest step by step over the coming months. We still need to keep a few things under wraps—but one thing is certain: 2027 will be fast!
