Skipper 360° – Video Portal
Over 300 videos with knowledge from all areas of seamanship are available to you in this video portal. We work very closely with partners, so new areas are added every year. All contributions are editorially reviewed and produced with professional partners. As a bonus, you get the ocean7 e-paper for one year for free! With the e-paper, you have access to exciting area reports and information about water sports.
Theory Courses FB2 & FB3 ONLINE
Our online theory courses are held live, and with a maximum of 15 participants, there is plenty of time to practice and review. In each session, we will discuss topics such as weather, tides, safety, or engines together.
Chart work is demonstrated or explained directly on a chart on the screen, and participants then draw the assigned task on their own chart. The results are then analyzed together on the screen. A nautical chart with materials will be sent by us via mail.
VIRTUAL TRAINING & LEARNING MATERIALS
Our training partner has developed various learning apps for sail training. For beginners, we recommend the app “Harbour Manoeuvres for Skipper and Crew”, in which all manoeuvres and line techniques are described with videos and animations.
The “Virtual Skipper Trainer” is a harbour manoeuvre simulator released for Windows and MacOS. Our partner Blue-2 uses the VST for our own train-the-trainer seminars. With the “Marina Construction Kit”, marinas or training situations can be quickly reconstructed and used immediately for the briefing.
