Why we went to Düsseldorf in 2026
We thought about it for a long time before taking the plunge. boot Düsseldorf is not only huge, it also spans nine days – for a company of our size, that is a considerable effort.
At some point, however, it was clear: we didn’t just want to know our German customers via email or phone, but meet them in person. In Austria, Boot Tulln has long been more than just a classic trade fair for us – it’s a meeting point for regular customers, a place for conversations and new ideas. We wanted to experience exactly that feeling in Düsseldorf too.
Our stand: virtual helm station, grinder, and coffee from Austria
With an extraordinary, individual trade fair stand, which boot Düsseldorf made possible for us in this form, we were able to get a taste of the German trade fair atmosphere for the first time. The stand quickly became a familiar meeting point.
- Virtual helm station: Many visitors experienced for themselves how boat maneuvers feel from a completely new perspective – find out more in our virtual training and learning materials.
- Grinder Challenge: Here, everyone could test their own performance limits. Many were surprised by how much strength is involved in sailing – and there was ambitious competition for personal records.
- The “Kaffeteria von Villach”: Austrian coffee in the middle of Düsseldorf – the perfect place for cozy chats.
Sail training, charter, and yacht investment in focus
Of course, we also used the fair to present our services. Numerous visitors and existing customers inquired about skipper training, German qualifications such as the SKS, and the internationally recognized RYA training. The different training paths in particular led to many exciting discussions.
Yacht charter and yacht investment also met with great interest. We were able to show how ownership and charter can be combined and what opportunities this creates for future owners.
A special focus was on our talks on family sailing. For us, sailing is more than a sport: it’s time together, adventure, and nature – and the chance to experience something special as a family. You can find suitable offers under skipper training for families and children.
Our conclusion: Düsseldorf, we’ll be back
After our first participation, one thing is certain: we want to come back 100 percent. The many personal encounters, the great interest, and the response to our offers showed that the decision was right.
Initial hesitation has therefore turned into a clear decision: boot Düsseldorf will become a permanent fixture in our annual planning. Just like Boot Tulln in Austria, we want to make Düsseldorf an annual meeting point for customers, friends, and partners in Germany.
