From May 16 to 20, 2026, the boot Düsseldorf team visited IN2THEBLUE in Punat. For the first time, the world’s largest watersports trade show left its exhibition halls for a social media production—and came to where sailing really happens: the Croatian Adriatic.

Experience watersports where it belongs
For boot Düsseldorf, the trip was a first. Joining them were, among others, Tania Vellen and Simon Stitzl from boot Düsseldorf, as well as Jörg Müller-Dünow and his team from the Düsseldorf agency markenzeichen. Together with IN2THEBLUE and Marina Punat, they created footage, reels, and stories about what sailing is all about: community, nature, learning, adventure, and the joy of being on the water.
Sailing, filming, and photography took place around Punat and in Kvarner Bay. Not perfectly staged studio shots, but authentic moments: people on board, first experiences at the helm, sailing manoeuvres, wind, sea, and the atmosphere that comes from a crew being out together.
That’s exactly the idea that connects boot Düsseldorf and IN2THEBLUE: inspiring people to get into watersports and showing how accessible and diverse life on the water can be. WE LOVE WATER is more than just a slogan.
The bay evening in Krušćica
The emotional highlight didn’t happen in front of the camera, but where we love to be most: in a bay, at anchor, together with our crews. For the big bay evening, we headed to Krušćica on the island of Cres.
One by one, IN2THEBLUE’s yachts also arrived—out at the time with their training teams. Suddenly, the marketing team, agency, sailing instructors, course participants, and crews all met in the middle of one of Kvarner’s most beautiful bays—for a fantastic shared barbecue evening.
There was food, conversation, and laughter. People who had only met a few hours earlier shared stories from the water. For us, that evening was the best explanation of what IN2THEBLUE means: sailing isn’t just training, charter, or regatta—it’s about people and shared experiences.
From business partners to a community
boot Düsseldorf has supported IN2THEBLUE for many years as an important partner and an international platform for watersports. That made it even nicer to welcome the team this time not in Düsseldorf, but with us in Croatia. Because if you want to understand why we’re passionate about sailing, at some point you have to get out on the water yourself.
