IN2THEBLUE is an officially certified RYA Training Centre, which means we deliver sailing education to the worldwide standards of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) – one of the most respected training organisations in the maritime world. For you that means internationally recognised qualifications and a proven, structured approach to learning at sea.
We offer a full pathway from beginner to advanced offshore competence: RYA Competent Crew for first-timers, RYA Day Skipper (theory and practical), RYA Coastal Skipper, and RYA Yachtmaster preparation up to Offshore level. We also run the RYA SRC radio course. Whatever your starting point, there is a course that fits.
If you are joining your first crew, start with Competent Crew. Ready to take charge yourself? Day Skipper is your first skipper qualification. For more demanding coastal passages by day and night, move on to Coastal Skipper, and when you are aiming for the top, the Yachtmaster route awaits. Not sure where you fit? We are happy to advise you.

Not necessarily. The pathway is designed so you can begin at your level – from complete beginner at Competent Crew through to experienced skippers preparing for Yachtmaster. Each course has its own prerequisites, which you will find on the individual course pages.
All our RYA training runs at our centre in the Marina Punat on the island of Krk, Croatia, sailing in the varied waters of the Kvarner Bay. It is the same base as our charter fleet – a real sailing environment to learn and progress in.
